The Perkins Loan may also suit your needs. Depending how much you need to borrow, this loan lets you borrow up to $4000. If you need more than this won’t be the loan for you.

Your first step should be to talk with a suitable person at your university. They will know what has worked before for students and will be able to point you in the right direction. You may even be able to get private funding through your university but this isn’t generally done for students with a bad credit history.
